proposed electricity regulations for comment

My advise to Eskom is

1 consumption shifting should be prioritized -getting households to install remote switch to use off- peak capacity for geysers. this is most effective , how otherwise are you going to save /shift 2400 watts per household of peak capacity ? and (ATM) it is a win-win (you should know why I say this ).

2 It is much cheaper & quicker than alternatives like solar geysers,.......

3 It is a huge task - 1 ~2 million households need to participate to solve the crisis , earlier we start the better...

4 As soon as possible, while urging the industry to be as energy efficient as possible, mining industry should get 100 % power capacity (not 90 %) - We are a mining nation , the output of mining industry paint the picture of our economy. eg - if the Rand weakens Eskom will have to pay more for new plants too ,etc.......

But, what if, a person like me, who has a family of 3, works from home, has a maid and her daughter and a gardener staying on the property? Some monkey seriously didn't think this through... Or do monkeys work in groups?

As I said in post #3 above.
They are wanting to punish quantity of use, rather than wasteful usage.
In the example you gave, each person gets under 100KW a month - whereas the bachelor in my example gets 480KW and no "punishment".

STUPID IDEA ANC! Why am I not surprised?
