Phoned MWeb support about an hour ago and....the guy actually knew what he was talking about.:wtf:

Usually if one throws a bunch of tech talk at a support guy they roll over & play dead.:o

This was the "Other" category support not one of the Press 1 for ADSL etc. Presumably that post is maned by the most competent staff since there is no script to follow & type of issues encountered is varied.

Anyway props MWEB.

Hi HavocXphere

Thank you for taking time to send us this positive feedback which we really appreciate.

Kind regards
MWEB Operations

You are lucky - we are on bonded ADSL and have not been able to go without issues for more than 10 days. Support is pretty useless in this case as Telkom is blamed always first. 1st level support is useless and every problem needs to be escalated.

I dealt with a 'first tier' support person who was utterly useless, recommended I get a 512 line to deal with my shaping issue. :wtf:

As it was escalated I received excellent help - In fact they started driving me nuts with all the checking to see if things had been fixed. :p

Dont want to ruin the party here , but here is some advise that mweb could take onboard

- You should rather stick to the home market.Dont get involved with Businesses because you to slow.I logged an urgent call with mweb business and it took 4 weeks to response. My email had a lot of tech details so resolving the problem should have been easy as i gave you the answer. If anybody relies on internet etc for there business rather move to a ISP like Internet Solutions , as they have more skilled people.

I have had no responses to my queries, they have been escalated but it seems its too hard for mweb!
