Twice when my phones have been stolen those phishing messages were sent to my mom, dad, and best friend whose phone numbers were accessible under my emergency contact info (which you can see when the phone is locked). Originally I thought it was part of the lost phone functionality of Find My Phone and I nearly fell for it.

Received similar sms messages the past two weeks stating that one of our bank accounts has been temporarily locked because it was identified as being the target of a hacking attempt.

The link included takes then takes you to a fake copy of the bank's website, where they want you to log in with your IB details.

Assholes.
