Hundreds of Telkom employees will take part in protest action tomorrow (29 July) at the Telkom headquarters in Pretoria. A petition signed by thousands of workers will be handed over with a memorandum to the management of Telkom.
The protest action will be the start of a national campaign against retrenchments at Telkom. A commision of enquiry will be appointed and the unions will mobilise the employees of Telkom as well as the public. A court case against Telkom is another possible part of the campaign.
