Protesters barricade North West road

Johannesburg - About 100 residents of Klipgat and Odi in the North West barricaded a road with burning tyres on Monday, police said.

Captain Adele Myburgh said residents blocked a road in Odi View with burning tyres and rocks from 04:00.

"We hear people are unhappy about service delivery but we cannot confirm this as the reason for the protest. It's peaceful at this stage and no damages have been reported."

Police were sent to the area.

No arrests have been made.

Chances are good these morons will vote for the anc again on the 18th so I feel nothing about their poor service delivery. They should clear the road blocks with flame throwers!

As far as these people are concerned no other party exists apart from the ANC,so they have to put a tick next to the 'devil they know'.
If there was only one ISP that is well known by all we would still sign up with them even if they gave us bad service.The other parties need to improve their campaign strategy to get people not to vote ANC.

Potchefstroom in the North West will most likely go to the DA because of the ANC stuff-up with registering their candidates.

The parties are putting a lot of effort into their campaigns. I think the problem is that people still vote ANC out of loyalty - remember, this is the party that brought them 'freedom' in 1994 and in their minds, they cannot be disloyal. I KNOW this is not in line with reality, but I am giving you a peep into their minds.

Indeed.Let's not forget that people were actaully voting for Nelson Mandela in 1994 and not technically the ANC,because he catalysed their liberation.His legacy is no longer present so people need to move on now.
