Lydenburg - Angry protesters set fire to a clinic and flung stones at passing vehicles in Lydenburg's Mashishing township, Mpumalanga police said on Monday.

That is the only clinic in that area

On Sunday, a library and a hostel were burnt down.

And then they complain of lack of service delivery. That's because you burnt down the service delivery buildings! Oh, that and the fact that the ANC has a massive majority in Mpumalanga. You got what you voted for peeps!

The worrying thing is the next day they complain that the train isn't only late, but it never arrived. Clearly logic escapes these rioters.

Explain to me why "people" complain about lack of education for certain generations in S.A. oh yeah that's right they burned the schools down.

Blame it on apartheid!

how about we blame it on their stupidity AND apartheid?

Burning down of stuff is not an exclusively AFRICAN form of protest.
Thailand burnt down stuff, Chinese did last week, London protestors smashed and burnt things during the economic thingie, seattle, etc.

That TIA is a bit disingenous in this case. Protestors are stupid and destructive all over.

It's a regular thing here. We are already used to it and not surprised when it happens. Tribal.

When this barbaric criminal behaviour occurs in those countries you mention, the perpetrators are brought to justice, but hey, we can't do that to the electorate here.

I hear China is going to arrest the officials who dealt with the protests there.

And in Thailand the protesters pretty much took over. In London they sprayed them with water, in seattle they used water too (I think). Oohh... touch action by the authorities there I see.

The truth is that politicians take a softly-softly approach to these things becauset politicians are scaly and only worry about their own hides.

Actually...
Locals accused the municipal manager Isaac Moshoadiba and Ndlovu of financial mismanagement related to the loss of R3.2 million from the municipality's bank account. The residents, who also complained of a lack of service delivery, handed a memorandum to Ndlovu's office last month.

I see why but I don't understand why? How much money is now going to have to come out of the municipal bank account to replace that clinic, hostel and library that they burned.... In Africa they don't shoot themselves in the foot they impale their foot to the ground with the assegai of irony..

This is what I meant.

Police shot and killed two ethnic Uyghurs and wounded another in a Chinese region that has seen violent ethnic strife in recent weeks, state media reported Monday.

The police were trying to stop the three people from attacking a fourth person with clubs and knives in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China Radio International reported, citing the local government.

All four people involved in the incident were ethnic Uyghurs, a minority Muslim group distinct from China's majority Han population, CRI said.

..............

Couldn't do this to the electorate here.
