Super high turnout compared to past elections. Probably benefiting the opposition, but we will only know later. Budapest is an opposition stronghold, but Magyar needs to extend outside of Budapest to win. There's a set of constituencies that marginally went for Orban called "Pest" in 2022 (neighbouring Budapest), so look out how those are doing when results come in.

Even if the opposition win its going to be uphill battle. Orban has rigged the elections in such a way that he just needs 1/3 of the vote to have a simple majority.

Hmm, I haven't seen an estimate as low as that. What I have seen is Magyar needs to win by 5 -6 percentage points to win a majority because as you say, Orban has gerry-mandered constituencies.

"In the last vote for Parliament, in 2022, Fidesz not only outperformed the forecasts of some polls, but after winning 37 percent of votes cast overall, it won 68 percent of seats."


He needs very few votes to get a super majority (enough to have significant impact and change the constitution)
