Proton Drive desktop app launched on Windows — with free encrypted storage

Privacy-focused software company Proton has released a desktop cloud storage app for Windows, allowing users to sync files on their computers to an online drive automatically.

Unlike existing options such as Microsoft OneDrive and Google Drive, Proton Drive boasts free end-to-end encrypted file storage by default.

I've used Proton since 2020, and it's the best alternative for email, storage, and VPN compared to most. The best thing about it, compared to Microsoft and Google , is privacy. Ever browsed through your One Drive or Google photos, only to find that that these boys have looking through my photos. Im saying this because, like most all we wanna do is, backup those moments to the cloud and forget about it until such time you're ready to show your kids your embarrassing photos and have a laugh. When you slapped with a reminder of moments back in time and asked to participate in facial recognition to "better catalogue them, "... i think that's where we need to draw the line.
I've recently acquired the full package, and it sports a very good email solution, a VPN that rival Nords and storage that doesn't corrupt your files after downloading them, unlike Google Drive.
I highly recommend this to anyone who is anyone in the tech industry. It's the best $13 a month you'll spend on online services since Netflix, that i can promise you.

I get the privacy thing.

I do like Google Photos though for its ability to recognise the people and even our pets. Makes finding what I am looking for so very easy. Want to show pictures of our dogs? I just search for Oreo or Bently. Looking for pics of our much missed kitty? Just search for Amigo. Lookig for our getaway pics? Just search for Geluksburg or beach and so on.

Nauthy stuff gets uploaded to Mega where I have 50GIG free storage.
