provedent fund question

Hi everyone

I've been surfing these forums for a while now,high time to register,not many forums like this available to sa users.
Hope to get to know you guys a bit better

Anyway,this weekend my wife and I went through our fanaces,going through insurences and anuitys and so forth.

I changed jobs about seven years ago,I did not claim on my provedent fund as I asumed my new employer would handle the transfer on my behalf,going back to the first anuel report it doesn't look that the transfer took place.

I allso don't remember completing any paperwork to have funds transfered from one fund into another.

Now my question is,is there still a chance to claim or to transfer these funds after sever years.

I'm trying to remember when the law changed but I am pretty sure all the money is yours and not the employer or anyone else. So contact the provider. They should be able to track down what's in your name with your details.

Must have been a small amount though for you not to notice in the annual reports (and no, it doesn't just get taken care of, there is paperwork).
