CSA POSTPONES ROUND 4 OF DIVISION 2 4-DAY SERIES MATCHES

JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) can confirm that all three, Round 4, Division Two CSA 4-Day Domestic Series matches scheduled to take place between 02-05 December have been postponed.
The competition is not being held in a Bio-Secure Environment (BSE) and in the last couple of days, some positive COVID-19 test results have emerged following team pre-arrival testing sessions.
Activating the precautionary and preventative measures stipulated in the organisation’s COVID-19 protocols to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all involved is a top priority for CSA.
CSA is monitoring the situation closely and a decision regarding the remainder of the fixtures this year will be made in due course as it develops.
In addition, the CSA B-section 3-Day and 1-Day matches featuring Northerns and Easterns set for the same weekend have also been postponed until 2022.

JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) is pleased to confirm an amended programme for the remaining fixtures of the 2021/22 CSA 4-Day Domestic Series, incorporating the previously postponed matches across Divisions One and Two.
The four-day action will resume with a full round of fixtures between 13 – 16 January, with South Africa’s premier red-ball competition set to crown their inaugural champions under the new structure following the final round scheduled between 03 – 06 March (Division Two) and 04 – 07 March (Division One).
The games will be streamed live on SuperSport’s YouTube Channel.
Division One log-leaders, the Imperial Lions, will be aiming to continue their perfect record from last year when they headline the resumption of play with a mouth-watering encounter against the unbeaten Hollywoodbets Dolphins in the early start in Durban.
Meanwhile, the Gbets Warriors will host the GbetsRocks at St George’s Park in Gqeberha, the ITEC Knights will be home to the Six Gun Grill Western Province while the Momentum Multiply Titans will make the trip to Potchefstroom to take on the North West Dragons.
In Division Two, KwaZulu-Natal outfit, the Hollywoodbets Tuskers will be looking to maintain their number spot on the table when they go head-to-head with the Six Gun Grill South Western Districts, as the Eastern Storm host the Northern Cape Heat at Willowmoore Park in Benoni.
A northern derby between the Mpumalanga Rhinos and the Limpopo Impalas will rounds off the first round of Division Two action for 2022.

JOHANNESBURG: Impressive tons from Joshua Richards and Reeza Hendricks helped the Imperial Lions pile on the runs in their first Cricket South Africa (CSA) 4-Day Domestic Series fixture of the year against the Hollywoodbets Dolphins in Durban on Thursday.
The action is streamed live on SuperSport’s YouTube page, with seven matches taking place across Divisions One and Divisions Two in the latest round of the 2021/22 campaign.
Richards recorded a dominant 151 off 250 balls (20 fours, 1 six) from the top of the order in a notable 258-run, second-wicket partnership with Hendricks (136 off 211; 20 fours), who notched up his 16th career century in First Class cricket, as the pair helped guide the visitors to 332 / 3 at stumps.
Dolphins’ Ottniel Baartman (2 / 52) claimed two of the three wickets to fall on day one at the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium, including the Lions top-scorer, Richards.
In Gqeberha, the Gbets Warriors pair of top-order batter Lesiba Ngoepe (75 off 95; 13 fours) and Diego Rosier (58* off 104; 7 fours) tried their best to keep Shaun von Berg and the GbetsRocks’ bowling attack at bay to reach 235 / 8 at the end of the day’s play.

JOHANNESBURG: In what could be viewed as a moving day in Gqeberha, 14 first innings wickets were taken on the second day of the Cricket South Africa (CSA) 4-Day Domestic Series clash between the Gbets Warriors and the GbetsRocks at St George’s Park on Friday.
Resuming the day on 235 / 8, the Warriors were eventually bowled out having added just seven runs to their overnight score, with spinner Shaun von Berg taking one of the two wickets to end off with impressive figures of six for 76.
In reply, things weren’t straightforward for the Rocks, as the evergreen Stiaan van Zyl notched up an important 93 off 131 deliveries (15 fours) before von Berg added to his exploits with the ball to contribute 49 off 72 balls (7 fours) from the lower-order to help boost the away side to a 14-run lead on 259 all out.
Tiaan van Vuuren (3 / 35) along with Glenton Stuurman (2 / 54) and Dane Paterson (2 / 50) were the pick of the bowlers for the Warriors, before the hosts reached stumps on 75 / 2, 61 runs ahead.
In Durban, the Hollywoodbets Dolphins made a solid start to their first innings reply against log-leaders, the Imperial Lions after the away side declared on 428 / 5, as all-rounder Wiaan Mulder added 52 off 124 balls (5 fours) to compliment the centuries scored by Joshua Richards (151) and Reeza Hendricks 136) on the first day.
A crucial 66 off 110 deliveries (11 fours) from Grant Roelofsen helped the Dolphins to 189 / 4 at the close of day two, with the home side still 239 runs behind.
At the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, the home side, ITEC Knights are facing an uphill battle after the Six Gun Western Province recorded a massive 501 / 6 declared in their first innings as the Cape side built off the stunning work from David Bedingham (199) and Tony de Zorzi (97).
With the bat, the Knights fought hard to reach 190 / 5 at the close of play, still trailing by 311 runs after half-centuries from N. Roux (63 off 174; 8 fours) and captain Pite van Biljon (52 off 98; 7 fours) as the visitors picked up key wickets to head into the third day in control.
Meanwhile in Potchefstroom, the Momentum Multiply Dolphins narrowly trail the North West Dragons by three runs after the Tshwane-based outfit were dismissed for 246 with wicket-keeper batter, Heinrich Klaasen starring with the bat to score 128 off 185 balls (19 fours).
In their second innings, after being skittled out for 147 in the first outing, the Dragons battled their way through to 102 / 4 at stumps to overtake their opponents on the scoreboard as former Titans stalwart, Heino Kuhn led from the front with an unbeaten 71 off 100 balls (11 fours, 1 six).
In Division Two, there was no play possible at Uplands College in White River between the Mpumalanga Rhinos and the Limpopo Impalas due to rain, while the Northern Cape Heat took charge of their encounter against the Eastern Storm by posting 434 / 5 declared before their opponents replied with 255 / 6 at stumps.
In Pietermaritzburg, the Six Gun Grill South Western Districts take a 151-run lead over the Hollywoodbets Tuskers into day three after the away side ended their first innings on 315 all out before the Tuskers ended play on a commanding 164 /1 after just 26.3 overs.

DIVISION ONE:
Hollywoodbets Dolphins trail Imperial Lions by 239 runsResuming the day on 235 / 8, the Warriors were eventually bowled out having added just seven runs to their overnight score, with spinner Shaun von Berg taking one of the two wickets to end off with impressive figures of six for 76.
In reply, things weren’t straightforward for the Rocks, as the evergreen Stiaan van Zyl notched up an important 93 off 131 deliveries (15 fours) before von Berg added to his exploits with the ball to contribute 49 off 72 balls (7 fours) from the lower-order to help boost the away side to a 14-run lead on 259 all out.
Tiaan van Vuuren (3 / 35) along with Glenton Stuurman (2 / 54) and Dane Paterson (2 / 50) were the pick of the bowlers for the Warriors, before the hosts reached stumps on 75 / 2, 61 runs ahead.
In Durban, the Hollywoodbets Dolphins made a solid start to their first innings reply against log-leaders, the Imperial Lions after the away side declared on 428 / 5, as all-rounder Wiaan Mulder added 52 off 124 balls (5 fours) to compliment the centuries scored by Joshua Richards (151) and Reeza Hendricks 136) on the first day.
A crucial 66 off 110 deliveries (11 fours) from Grant Roelofsen helped the Dolphins to 189 / 4 at the close of day two, with the home side still 239 runs behind.
At the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, the home side, ITEC Knights are facing an uphill battle after the Six Gun Western Province recorded a massive 501 / 6 declared in their first innings as the Cape side built off the stunning work from David Bedingham (199) and Tony de Zorzi (97).
With the bat, the Knights fought hard to reach 190 / 5 at the close of play, still trailing by 311 runs after half-centuries from N. Roux (63 off 174; 8 fours) and captain Pite van Biljon (52 off 98; 7 fours) as the visitors picked up key wickets to head into the third day in control.
Meanwhile in Potchefstroom, the Momentum Multiply Dolphins narrowly trail the North West Dragons by three runs after the Tshwane-based outfit were dismissed for 246 with wicket-keeper batter, Heinrich Klaasen starring with the bat to score 128 off 185 balls (19 fours).
In their second innings, after being skittled out for 147 in the first outing, the Dragons battled their way through to 102 / 4 at stumps to overtake their opponents on the scoreboard as former Titans stalwart, Heino Kuhn led from the front with an unbeaten 71 off 100 balls (11 fours, 1 six).
In Division Two, there was no play possible at Uplands College in White River between the Mpumalanga Rhinos and the Limpopo Impalas due to rain, while the Northern Cape Heat took charge of their encounter against the Eastern Storm by posting 434 / 5 declared before their opponents replied with 255 / 6 at stumps.
In Pietermaritzburg, the Six Gun Grill South Western Districts take a 151-run lead over the Hollywoodbets Tuskers into day three after the away side ended their first innings on 315 all out before the Tuskers ended play on a commanding 164 /1 after just 26.3 overs.

DIVISION TWO:Six Gun Grill South Western Districts lead Hollywoodbets Tuskers by 118 runs
JOHANNESBURG: Heinrich Klaasen followed up a first innings century with an unbeaten fifty to help the Momentum Multiply Titans seal an emphatic eight-wicket victory over the North West Dragons in their Cricket South Africa (CSA) 4-Day Domestic Series match in Potchefstroom on Saturday.
The wicket-keeper batter smashed an 82-ball 71* (9 fours, 1 six) in a 121-run partnership with Grant Mokoena, who finished on 50* (87 balls; 3 fours, 3 sixes), to help his side stroll to their victory after the away side dismissed the Dragons for 231 in their second innings to leave them needing 132 runs to win .
The Dragons’ second innings was inspired by Heino Kuhn’s 26th career hundred in First Class cricket, while Lizaad Williams (3 / 16) was the pick of the bowler with an impressive return to limit the hosts.
At the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium, the Imperial Lions will take a 179-run lead into the fourth and final day after the Hollywoodbets Dolphins posted 337 all out in their first innings response to the Lions’ 428 / 5 declared.
After Grant Roelofsen’s (66) knock on day two, the home side’s effort with the willow was further enhanced by a measured half-century from Ruan de Swardt (59 off 124 balls; 8 fours) and crucial late contributions from numbers nine, 10 and 11 as they all added 20 or more runs.
Lutho Sipamla ended with figures of 3 for 55 with the ball, before the Lions reached stumps at 88 / 4.
In Gqeberha, the Gbets Warriors scored the highest total of the game so far after they resumed the day’s play on 75 / 2 before overnight batter, Wihan Lubbe struck his seventh ton in the red-ball cricket, dispatching 10 fours and three sixes to help power the home side to 297 /6 declared.
Hardus Viljoen (3 / 52) and Stiaan van Zyl (3 / 18) took three wickets apiece for the Rocks before the visitors lost three wickets to end the day at St George’s Park on 52 / 3 still needing 232 runs to secure the win.

In Benoni, the Eastern Storm require 418 runs to win after the Northern Cape Heat produced another stellar display with the bat, led by Evan Jones (128 off 132 balls; 13 fours, 2 sixes) to end their second innings on 332 / 6 declared, after also declaring in the first for 434.
Like the conditions in Bloemfontein, rain and a wet outfield meant there was no play possible in the clash between the Mpumalanga Rhinos and the Limpopo Impalas.
