I'm looking for a worth while proxy server to install. I was thinking of looking for a copy of MS ISA Server, but it might be a bit to big for what I am looking for.

Do anybody know of anything worthwhile that I can look at?

PS! Must be able to run on a MS server...

depends on your intended use... if only one person is going to use the proxy, there is not much point. just increase the cache size in your browser.

for anything more than one user, I recommend the squid! there is a version available that runs on windows.

note that if you are not used to linux config files, you might find it difficult (time consuming) to set up.

I would suggest Squid as well, very good open source product.

Thanks guys. My main question is. Will I be able to assign a usage quota to everyperson on the network with squid?

IE. Would I be able to specify that person A can only use 2GB a month and then as soon as he used his 2GB then refuse internet traffic except for email traffic and one or two websites like the Banks?

That is what I need it for in essense

I use CCProxy, you can't assign usage quotas but you can monitor the dailiy usage.
