Ps 2 dvd9+r dl copying

I've searched threw all the treads and cant find what i'm looking for.
a No fuss way to copy PS 2 dual layer game to DVD+r dl.
As i gather you rip it (dvddecrypter/imgburn) then you patch the image with "toxic dl patcher"
then burn it at slow speed? Am i missing something here?
I'm aiming to make copy of 'god of war" and "gt4"

As you see i don't want to rebuild to dvd5 just a dvd9 to dvd9 copy.
I also read that DVD-r dl are sometimes better to copy too, why is this?

Oh, i have the original games, i got 3 boys all with there own ps2, i just cant take the non stop "its my turn"
I just want to give them each there own copy

Your'e new around here, by your number of posts, so in time you will see there is some sensitivity around certain topics. I made copies or should i rather say "backups" for all my ps2 games when i had the ps2, using nero image. Have you got a dual layer dvd writer? Why not get a few dual layers and do an image transfer? I never "backed" up GOW, so i might be totally off track.

Yes, especially if the pirates hijack the Eassy cable laying ship.

I backup all my ps2 games. Most of the originals look brand new because I play the backups. If you are planning to backup using DL I suggest verbatim DVD-R DL and Nero. No patching required.
