Ps2 Ntsc?

Whats the story with playing NTSC games on local PS2's ? Can you buy a game from the USA and play it on the local machines, or is it asking for trouble?

Does the whole pal and Ntsc thing still give problems?
I taught the multi system TV are all the same.

If your tv can display NTSC and your local console has been chipped then yes no problem. Otherwise the ps2 will reject the dvd with the red invalid disc sign or your tv will have garbled/black/white display.

As Vio said - you need PS2 chipped.
