I remember seeing a guide around to make your own. You buy one of those PS2 extension things and you rewire it to a USB cable.

ship to SA? well atm im trying to get a friend of mine to buy one from dubai when he does there, if he doesnt then il have to buy one online from overseas

hectic? 5 diodes is all it needs

the db25 connector can easily be scavenged off an old printer cable.
that will give you ps controller to printer port.

here is another link, showing the same thing, just prettier pictures
http://www.emulatronia.com/reportajes/directpad/psx/imprimir.htm

(note: I havent personally doen this myself, but I have been following this project for a while, because I have a few spare psx pads which need to find a use oneday...it is also my understanding that psx and ps2 gamepads are compatibile enough to work with this mod..) the voltage talked about is only if you want the rumble function to work, it isnt required to make the gamepad work as a gamepad..that only requires the 5 diodes)

if you HAVE to use usb for some reason or another, then it would be more economical to buy the convertor...the bits arent expensive if you make yourself, but you will need the capabilities to program an eprom..., so probably to use a lpt port if easier, cheaper and more do-able)

Try Console Plus, I bought my USB one from them. They do ship internationally.

I have made the parallel port version. It does work and the drivers are quite good, but the USB one is more convenient. To make your own USB one you need some fairly expensive equipment.

thx I will check it out :), what happened to Faffy, he hasnt replied even though he started the thread! i feel like a thread hijacker :(

my bad :p thanks for all the replies, even though i dont reply doesnt mean im not here ;p
