Hey every1

My sisters boyfirend just bought the new(well not so new anymore) PS2 Slim console, and he want to be able to play backed up games and ntsc games etc etc, he does not want to chip the PS2 because of breaking the warranty etc.
So i offered to help him and find out more about the swop device i have heard about, i have no experience in the console area, i had a ps2 last year and it just gave problems so i got my money back and stuck to my pc!

Can someone please help me!

Thanks

I have heard that you can use a usb drive on the new slim line console. You get a disc almost like the playstation hard disk loader and the ps2 network adapter Im using to boot the console up and back up your ps2 games to hard disk.

I use harddisk loader and have backed up more than 20 ps2 games all which i bought of course. Some of the games dont work however like GOD OF WAR and GRAN TURISMO4 but new games like Need for speed Most Wanted and Resident Evil4 works.

You also get a swap tool like swap magic not sure if that works with the slimline ps2 though.

well its usb 1.1 so its slow!!!! don't know how well it will work though!!!!!!

i have the slimline ps2, and i have the swap magic 3.6 disks, works well for me, warranty still intact aswell! i have succesfully copied grant turismo 4 and god of war.

I played both GOW and GT4 off my HDD. Although they both needed some ISO editing to make it compatible with HD Loader. I reckon googling for the conversion packs would be the easiest way to find it.

I'll say one thing tho, the HDD really saves life on the DVD lens.
