PS3 Also ?

All hail the king of flames!!!!!

wait you know what its late and im too tired.
PS3 is better!

I honestly dont know what this argument is all about, the PS3 is a COMPUTER as per Sony's PR stance so how can we compare it to the Wii or X360 anyhow? :p

First of all who started talking about the Wii? It's not even technically a next-gen console...it's a wireless gamecube (no disrespect to the cube) + you look daft and silly playing the thing ..honestly not impressed by the game line-up either...they all look like Wii sports with "better" graphics...

Played the PS3 for a long time at a friend...here's what I think.
It's clunky...I mean have you SEEN it?? It's huge...technology is suppose to make things smaller not brick size...and the remotes feel funny as well..they don't fit well...the games take an age to load...and this whole Blu-Ray platform just doesn't seem like a good idea...on top of this it comes with a huge price tag and if your sole intent is to play games, it offers little more than the 360...

And anyone that says consoles have no purpose has most def not played Halo 3 (omw) or Assasins Creed (drool) on the 360...not even talking about Gears of War or the upcomming Mass Effect!

Pc has Crysis, but consoles do offer good quality gaming experiences and an easier multiplayer platform...and no I am not a xbox fanboy...I know its limitations, thats why I give it a rest between plays and always keep a fan running at the back to keep things nice and cool :D

So a "next gen console" (although current) is defined by the graphics ? That seems a bit short sighted and there is about 10 million Wii owners that'll disagree with u.

Not flaming the Wii, but if you get a few people together and play i think it has potential, but as a gaming machine itself.....I don't know...it doesn't even play dvd's...(and I know I have a dvd player, but the option does seem standard on other consoles)...and the control system does feel tacked on in certain games, movement replacing buttons...which is a shame...

I just don't think that as far as next gen consoles go, the Wii offers anything close capability wise to the other two....the fact that 10mil people have it does not make it a next gen console...Ninty has found a untapped market (family gaming) and it's cheaply priced (though not in SA)..that should account for the numbers..

Fun? Yes
Potential? Yes
Next Gen? No

Super Mario Galaxy. Once the Wii is cheap I'll be willing to get it just for this. Of course it doesn't have the graphics of other current generation consoles, but it's not all about graphics. I'm sure it will be even further behind next generation consoles when they come out.

Only thing wrong with the PS3 design is that it's glossy. Ratchet and Clank. Enough reason to get one once it becomes cheap. Uncharted might be another.

The 360 is bigger than a brick.

Once you get past that graphics all thats left is gameplay. I still enjoy playing Ape Escape and Crash Bandicoot on the Playstation 1. Wii is a bit of a gimmick and is hated by people who hate moving or getting up, but its still fun if they get a cool FPS working on there it would be nice. I'm thinking Quake on Wii :D

Good points being made by all, but I was talking about the here and now...not in the future...because no one knows whats going to happen...

Metroid Prime.

That game confuzzed me on the GameCube, still thought it was cool. I don't really want to go for a console, but If I had to it would be the Wii because the other two are just simplified computers.
