PS3 Audio set up question

Greetings

I am planning on connecting my ps3 to a LCD computer monitor using HDMI/DVI but dont know about the audio set up,i dont have a amplifier but a DVD reciever,i was wondering will it be possble to use the AV reciever of the ps3 and use only the red and white RCA cables into the DVD reciever for Audio?

I would say try it. The worst that could happen is the PS could go *poof*

Seriously though, try it. Just set your settings to have video on HDMI and Audio on RCA (or what ever it's called in the menu).

yes you can do it and the ps3 has a option that audio can come through HDMI and RCA. that's how I do it.
