Most games shows "No known issues to date". Very little has "Should play on PLAYSTATION®3 with noticeable issues". So unless you want to play something specifically, you shouldn't really have a problem overall.

Once again a big fuss was made over nothing. :)

I just checked Metal Gear Solid 3 and Final Fantasy XII and most of the version have serious problems playing.

I wish someone would be bored enough to find out exactly what the ratio is...

EA games seem to have the most problems though?

Final Fantasy XII has "minor" issues.

If you click on my second link to Joystiq they have ratios and even pie charts ;) .

Thanks I didn't see that, it's a bit sneaky to not list the ones that don't work at all don't you think?

Oh well I never understood the BC problems really, if you have 500 PS2 games you have a PS2 so just use that?

Ah ok. :)

Only 17% has "noticeable issues". A big 44% of PS2 games works with "no known issues". 10% with "minor issues". And 27% of the games hasn't been listed yet, or doesn't work.

I'd say overall it won't be a biggie.

Yeah thats fine but take me for an example, I never had a ps2 but there are games such as FFXII that are so good I have been dying to play them. Having to now go and buy a ps2 would be a waste of money and would clutter up my tv area.
