PS3 Cables and Controllers

Hi Folks

Just wanted to know regarding using a normal AC cable for PS3. Read couple of reviews and some people say a normal AC cable works fine and some people say that they had issues unless using the one that came with the PS3. Anybody have any experience?

Also, with regards to controllers, Xmods.co.za have 3rd party controllers for R399. Does anybody have any experience with:
a) buying from xmods.co.za
b) using 3rd party controllers

A cable is a cable is a cable. Has pins with wires, there will be no difference.

Buy original controllers and forget third party rubbish.
