PS3 for R4299!

Just saw this on Reggies website, granted its the 40gig...but hey...Im not gonna connect this to the internet and download stuff. So that dont bother me the slightest...not the greatest game you get with it (WWE 08)...but can just sell it off.

Please note that this new unit will not play PS2 titles

Why cant it play PS2? I thought PS3 was backward compatible?

they only had backwards compatibility with the first 60gig version that came out.

Checked it out on Google...thought most were BC. Oh well...see this one doesnt come with DS3 controller...not so lekker either

And you don't need to stay away from the PSN cause of the 40Gb size Just buy a bigger 2.5" HDD and pop it in there and you will have lotsa space for updates, demos, etc. It is very easy to do and even explained in the manual.

Or just go for the 80GB and get the DS3 with it.

Yeah...saw the DS3 is about R800 separately...so it will work out to R5000 anyways...so might as well go for the 80GB...unless you not really fussed about the DS3

wasnt there something about the prices coming down of the PS3, because i'm getting a new PS3 and i'm getting the 80GB with Killzone 2 Bundle. is it cheaper anywhere else?
