I'd recomend cleaning the vents, and maybe sending it in to BT for them to replace the thermal paste with something DECENT like acrylic silver.
Edit: And I agree with Madman88. I have both a 80GB and 60Gb, and they get insanely hot and guess what they havent failed me yet. So I wouldnt say your PS3 is showing early stages of "YLOD" or any nonsense like that
dont send to bt games ...they do the same work other guys who work from home would do and charge you alot more
fine by me, I'd rather let them give me a 6 month warranty then a guy coming back to me who I dont even know saying... He broke my PS3 trying to replace a drive or something in that line. I paid R1800 for a new PS3 BR drive and a new thermal paste in the begin of the year and its still working. Money well spent!
