comparing the special with the price for the Bravia only at Makro, the PS3 will cost you R3k

and agree with Doobiwan!! The Margin on teh Bravia must be rdiculous. Especially if you look at the price fo these TV's that AMericans pay. It would be interesting to see if anyone ahs imported themselves a nice TV!?!??! You thinks its possible??
 
I dunno about TV's, the weight is gonna cost you a lawt, but I did import a VCR about 3 years back from europe. Damn nice VCR, have had zero problems, except .. the tuner cannot decode south african audio . So i am forced to record via the other inputs, which suits me fine.

So ... you gotta be careful, there's no way you can get all the details of the stuff you import, and then if you do have a problem you're not going to export it to have the problem fixed.

you mean after the 36% duty and 14% VAT?
