I got my XBox in December and am loving it. But there are two issues around it that really bug me. I watch a lot of DivX movies, Downloaded TV shows etc. The XBox is ideally suited for being a mechanism to do this, however, Microsoft decided to screw this up (in persuit of DRM?). Specifically, (1) Only get a miserly 14 gigs of storage and cannot plug plug in an external hardrive, and (2) Won't play any usefull video format (no DivX).
There are ways around these issues, transcoders, streaming etc, but all of them leave much to be desired. So I am wondering what the PS3 can do for me here. Can I put in an external hard drive (not very important) and can it play divX (very important). If so, the PS3 becomes very attractive.
Oh and what will PS3 games cost? If they come in at the R1000 I have seen some people estimate, then Soney can kiss my ass. Right in the crack.
