I just read an article on News24 that looks very bad for Sony and the PS3.
We all know a bunch of chinese people bought the PS3's for businessmen who then planned on selling them on the net..
Well here are a few choice quotes
Noone buying them off the net for higher prices?
Ouch
What do you mean virtually? Only 90 000 units and they didn't sell out????
Old news but I thought I would add it again anyway....

There even appears to be a glut of the much-hyped machines because of schemers who bought it at the Japan launch on Saturday, enduring long lines at retailers especially with hopes of selling it for huge profits.

But some of the 4 000 PlayStation 3 consoles up for auction on Yahoo! Japan on Wednesday were downright bargains. Some had game software thrown in with the machine, selling near the retail price of about 60 000 yen for the more expensive model with a 60-gigabyte hard drive, and 50 000 yen for the cheaper model.
Ouch
Although Sony had promised 100 000 PS3 machines in Japan on the first day, the count was more like 90 000, and the entire shipment virtually sold out, except for retailers keeping some in stock, Hamamura said.

Almost as soon as PS3 went on sale in Japan, Sony acknowledged that the machine wasn't living up to the promise for total compatibility with preceding platforms, the original PlayStation and the upgrade PlayStation 2.
