Hi guys,

A friend of mine recently connected his PS3 to the Afrihost network (wifi) so he uses the internet ability on that PS3...however, he now wants to connect EVERYTHING but can't see the PS3 on any of his computers also connected to the same network...WHY?

How can he see the PS3 on the network from the PC?

Any advice will be appreciated

He can't.

Tell him to download PS3 Media Server. Using that application he can then view videos/music/photos on his PC from his PS3.

I assume onto the PS3? Downoad onto the PS3? Or download PS3 Media Server onto the PC itself???

Np, just one thing if he's running it over wifi it might struggle a bit with the HD stuff and reading from .rar files. There's way's to improve it though, just need to read up in the actual app itself.

Yeah, wifi sucked balls when streaming video... I had to resort to a cabled connection. Much better response time when playing movies.

I was also using PS3MS on a wireless connection and reponsiveness of menus when navigating content was horrible not to mention playback and fast forwarding/rewinding. Switched to cabled connection and much better.
