So I'm finally looking at getting a PS3.
My PC has been wrecked for ages now and am in need of some gaming.
I love FPS, but coming from a PC would like to know if there's any good mouse and keyboard for PS3.
I've seen some reviews, and some posts on mybb, but nothing recent.
Anybody have any experience with this?

I didn't even know you get a mouse and keyboard to game with for ps :/

I haven't tried on mine, but apparently any Bluetooth keyboard and mouse will work. Although for some reason those are extremely rare, I haven't seen a full-size Bluetooth keyboard in a while and the only mouse I know of is the Microsoft Extremely Long-windedly Named Bluetooth Mouse.

Though if you get a PS3, rather try some games it's good for. Things like Uncharted, Dark Souls, Heavy Rain etc. really shine. FPSs are terrible on a console even if you do have a mouse and keyboard.

Also, for the price of a new console, games and Bluetooth mouse + KB (not cheap), surely you can fix your PC?

All USB keyboards and mouse work on PS3.
But, not a lot of PS3 games support KB\Mouse.

@Jazzed: Yeh, I actually need something that maps mouse/kb input onto PS3 controls. I've seen some of these things around, but was wondering what's the latest on that. If there have been any improvements etc.

@TJ99: True, however you'd have to invest more in hardware to get the same framerates you get on console. A console is also more convenient. I love PCs, but the good stuff is getting really expensive and power hungry.

Dont worry about coming from M+KB.

I'm also a PC gamer with a PS3.

I can tell you now that the console FPSes are designed with console controllers in mind. Hence no twitch FPSes like quake/Unreal.

You'll get used to it very quickly.

There are many additional advantages of the PS3 like specific exclusive games, PSN+ with good selection of free games at <R500.00/year, etc. As for the a KB I have not found a decent setup yet, I only use USB KB for entry.

I did some fresh research after reading your post and found these seems to me stock and favorable reviews are a problem.

Hey thanks Seriously for that research.
I have come across the ones you've mentioned.
The Eagle Eye and XFPS seem like the best bet.
The XFPS had some old reviews, while Eagle Eye seems more recent (though not as good reviews).
I actually forgot about these when I posted this thread.

These are my choices, and I guess I just have to buy and try.
