Depends on the contract with MS. I think MS handled some of the development finances and might be part owner of the rights. The contract may well expire in due course allowing developers to ship in alternative formats.

To be honest I only recall Eternal Sonata as being X360 exclusive. EA games tend to be multiplatform without much exclusivity anyhow.

I honestly hope these news dont delay the game's release dates as Sony's SDK is a mofo to work with ( developers say that ).

You're right, the other two were "timed" exclusives. But the 360 version has been pushed back into the '08 financial year, so it made sense to do a parallel launch instead.

I dont mind the fact that exclusives are being stolen, i go for ps3 as a matter of principle, ive always supported playstation and thats who il stick with.
its sad when i really like a game and have to buy a console just to play it, im sure you will agree visa versa?

Sorry Snake, but you're walking into a minefield. Consider that by your logic all South Africa's would only ever buy playstations, because they were here first. By that argument, the first too market would always win regardless of the quality of the product.

I have to say, every product, every generation on it's own merits. When I upgrade a PC I supply the best value CPU at the time, regardless of whether it's AMD or Intel. I don't always just "buy Opel" I test drive every car in my price range to gauge which is the best for me.

If you're a videophile with a 50" 1080p bravia who's not that into games except one or two for the kids, to whom cash is no object, then the PS3 may suit you. If you primarily want a games console then the PS3 may not be the best choice.

hmm, what i mean to say is that you guys are not happy bout the fact that sony is stealing exclusives from xbox 360 etc, so what? cant we all play together nicely? i dont want to have to go and buy an Xbox just to play gears of war for instance when im perfectly happy to be able to play it on a console i already own ( and flogged out a pretty penny for), same shoudl work visa versa whereby sony should cede exclusives to Xbox, i mena i got pretty riled up when i heard that munches oddessy would only be released for Xbox- Abes exodus/oddessy was a playstation idea but was taken to Xbox, to me that really sucked! see what im getting at?

I hear what you're saying from a consumer perspective, but there's a lot of money in "owning the gateway", and as long as consoles aren't PC's the manufacturers are going to fight for reasons to make you chose their gateway.
