Hey guys.

Someone mentioned in a conversation that it's possible to play PS4 via pc. Any truth to this?

You need to own a PS4, ensure that its connected to internet and download the Remote PS4 application on your PC / Mac. I hope that answers your question.

Yeah, as Lord Flacko said, you need to have a PC, it basically streams the game from the PS4 to the PC via the PS4 Remote Play app. For best results you'd need a PS4 Pro, I tried it with the PS4 standard, and the best it could do was 720p, and if there was a lot going on, you'd end up with horrible compression artifacts, so really not worth it in the long run.

Just to clarify OP.... are you talking about streaming? which is what is mentioned above.

OR Emulation ? This is not possible... yet... but they are still working on PS3 emulation

Definitely streaming and not emulation.

You also get PSNow for PC (as @t123 pointed out), which allows you to stream PS3 games on your PC. Someone also made a thread about PSNow here in the games section about a month ago I think. I said I'd test it out and share my experience. I haven't done so yet, but maybe at month end I'll do so and report back if it's playable in SA or not, seeing that we will need to stream the content from the UK.

/ thread resurrection alert /

Can we finally go PSNOW in RSA? It didn't seem so when I tried to make an account to play some bloodborne.
