Hi , I have Ps4 my first gaming console. I set it up yesterday. Do I need internet to setup a ps4 account? Any games I will be able to play offline? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

You need internet to setup a PSN account which is used for browsing the store and online gaming, you dont need one to play single players games unless they need internet for DRM.

Just check games before buying it. Some do say at the back "This Game Requires A Working Internet Connection to Play"

Oh boy, you dont have an uncapped connection at home for the new gen consoles?You are not going to achieve full enjoyment of the console but I will help.

You need to setup an account on pc - go to the official sony site and register an account.

Then you need to associate that account on the ps4 which means your ps4 must be connected to the internet.Take it to a friends house.

You can play single player games but you are going to have a tough time when it comes to the massive updates sometimes.

Also to play multiplayer - you need to purchase PSN subs @ R750-820 a year(unsure of price after latest increase).

Online multiplayer games just makes the gaming experience so much better, if you can get a PSN account (needs to be connected to the internet) do it, you won't regret it, as long as you do play regularly.

Yeah that's a pretty good deal and more than enough for updates and game downloads.
