PS4 slim

It's not gonna get much slimmer, or much different. The margins on this device is tighter than Air Somalia's seatbelts. All of the PS devices have been cutting edge, latest tech innovations. This time however, there is much less left to chance.
 
There is definitely a revised PS4 in the works, but I think it would be strange to see it any time before Q4 2015.

If there are single player games you must play right now or multiplayer games your friends are playing, maybe get a PS4 now. Otherwise, wait.
 
Yes, definitely wait, the PS4 slim will be way better, faster and enhance your life in ways you could never have imagined before.
 
Was wondering from the title what this is about. The PS4 is actually slimmer than the 2nd gen PS3, i don't know how much slimmer it's going to get considering its specs. You might wait another 2 years and miss 2 years of fun for a 2mm trim :D

I only want to play Second Son right now. Everything else I want will be released on PC too. If I wait until next year, I get a more efficient PS4, at a reduced price, and with a few games released to Platinum/whatever the budget range is called.

The OP should consider his or her own wants/needs.
 
I would get it now :-) I have the fnb 2 year contract PS4 so it works great when the new version comes out :-)
 
The only thing that needs urgent improvement is the battery of the dualshock 4. That thing's battery life feels like a smartphone's battery when you compare with the DS3. More like 3310 battery vs smartphone battery. Otherwise the rest of the hardware looks bulit to stand for the next couple of years still

True! Have to charge my controller every day. My DS3 lasted at least two weeks.

It will be at least two years away and offer no functionality over the current model other than being cheaper and nastier for it.

This while you miss out on all the good stuff.

If you have the cash then buy one now.

I play a **** load and don't have this problem.

Have you turned the LED brightness down?

I do however use the charge dock and I have two controllers so maybe that's the solution. But even so I've never actually run a controller flat in one go and often forget to dock it.
 
Ps4 already so small, cannot imagine how a slim would look like.

The Eggsbox1 really need a slim version.. it's a big POS
