Not sure if this is the right place.....

My son received a PlayStation voucher for $50 from his aunt in the USA. He tried to redeem it but it says "invalid".

Does anyone know how he can redeem it or are they really not valid here? Would be a total waste of it can't be used.

Use the US account to purchase a few games off the US store. Play online with the SA Account, meaning paying one subscription

Let someone with experience verify first. I'm on Xbox one so not sure if it works. That's what I've read a while back

You create an US account either on-line or on the ps4 before you log in.
The only way they "verify" you location is by the address you offer so use the aunts address.
Log in with the new account, load the voucher, buy the game, have it download.
In the new account go to the ps4 settings menu and set the ps4 as the primary console for that user.
Now when you log back to your original account you can play the game online and offline.

You can do it this way to get cheap games, often the US has way better sales on and even sales that we don't get. I'm eagerly awaiting black friday for some wishlist shopping.
