PS5

Does anyone even enjoy most of these newer ps exclusives? Insomniac making nothing but these marvel games with a gameplay formula that for stale like 10 years ago for the next 5 years isn't inspiring confidence. They really need to reveal some of those other titles the other studios have been working on.
Spider-Man 2 was still fun as hell for me. I think that formula is probably ready for a overhaul but think it still had legs for now and I enjoyed the game so that's what matters.

Also enjoy it but feel like it should have been called 1.2
Basically same game with a spin, also too short.

Spider Man (With 3 x DLC) -> Ver 1.0
Miles Morales -> Ver 1.1
Spider Man 2 -> Ver 1.2

This has been echoed by many.

Assassin Creed, Far Cry, Forza Horizon, and many others have followed the same path. Studios are not willing to take risk anymore and stick to the formula.

Same for movies, they have become formulaic and predictable.

For the most part I do but I also feel like a lot of new games in general are unnecessarily padded out. I feel like if they were kept to a sub 15 hour experience for a main campaign would hit the sweet spot and also be far more cost effective for devs.

I got bored of the first one near the end,never played the arkham games. Miles morales was a bit more interesting but I would prefer a different combat system to this tbh.

I could not stand Spider-Man, but I’m keen to see what they do with Wolverine based on loving the previous one.

Then again I think Sackboy is the best reason to own a PS5.

It’s just such an all round great game.

Firstly one of the few that supports 4-players on the same screen all at once.

Then while it’s kid friendly in context it’s also very challenging all at the same time. My 5 year old can play it and have a lot of fun, also worth a mention all text has narration so he can happily play without being read to, and then you can do the challenge stages or through the motions of every orb etc.

The game world looks beautiful and every theme changes it drastically and then the soundtrack is a whole other story when you realise most of it is popular music reworked for the game.

It’s just an excellent combination of polish, solid gameplay and great variety.

Just gave the Unchartered series another go this week. They really need to do more story driven games instead of all these remasters, it's what they're supposed to be good at.

Spiderman is ok but it's nowhere close to Uncharted and TLOU...

Likewise. Spiderman 2 was basically Spiderman 1.5 and its all been done before countless times before.

Overrated like GoW: Ragnarok.

I really hope they go a different route with Wolverine. I like the character, but simply switching out Peter/Miles for Logan would be a yawn-fest.

I thoroughly enjoyed GoW and played it through to the end.

GoW: Ragnarok simply didn’t capture my imagination in the same way and it’s still languishing unfinished.

It’s needs to be hardcore R-rated like the 360 Wolverine was.

I know its a rumor but wont mind seeing GoW 3 on PS5.
I recently played (and platted) the remaster. I'm an OG fan so would be happy if I could play the the first 2 again. I've already played them on the PS2 and the remaster on PS3 and imo that was peak gow. I like the new series but I feel games in general are dragged out a little too much to try to justify a price tag.

It's a conundrum, if it was too short then people would complain they're not getting value. And they won't drop the price below other AAA titles, then it would seem like an inferior product...

I feel like that's the marketing bs clouding the industry atm. If a game is good and affordable, people will buy it.

More volume will equal more money and without the physical medium bringing in logistics costs, you have an unlimited product supply.

I'm surprised EA haven't sold FIFA for less but then again, with no competition they're basically milking the same game for all its worth.
