For sh*ts and giggles earlier I logged onto their customer service portal to see if they hold the line and tell me that it is "definitely" arriving tomorrow.

I was not disappointed. :ROFL:
I wonder what will happen to the order status on Sunday, will it say "Arriving yesterday"? :laugh:

Just had another reversal on my card. I think they are going to tell us to sod off finally.
No movement on my side. My cc is still showing an Outstanding Authorisation.

I wish they would hurry up and decide what to do, this is getting a bit old now.

I wish I had screenshotted the conversation I'd had.

They escalated to another associate on the fulfillment side who swore blind that the order was in an "advanced stage of dispatch" and could not be canceled (basically I would have to reject the delivery/log return from this point forward once it arrived)

I asked why no tracking was available and they repeated that it would be here by Saturday.

At this point its just outright lies, but since you deal with a new associate every time you can't really hold them to anything.

Finally got Customer Services to admit they have no stock to fill my order, hence why I have no dispatch notice.

Needless to say I was not kind to them afterwards.
I'm sure they'll be restocking soon though.

I just got confirmation on the ZAR amount for the price reduction refund which is R786.91.

So all in all the total cost will end up being R16 680 shipped. That's R2819 cheaper than the local price, almost exactly enough to get a disc drive.

Ridiculous that the price of an old piece of tech is blown up by 3x just because it's the only thing compatible with a console...
