From what I saw this only applies to new membership or upgrades, and not if you want to add on to existing membership.

Yep, I mentioned that.

My point is if everything is all digital many games are just going to go poof without any way to ever get them again on that platform.

The used video game market is enormous. This is what I'm implying when I'm talking about getting copies of games that have been delisted on store fronts. For example I have multiple physical PS3 games that are delisted on the store that I bought after the store items had been delisted, which all play perfectly fine.

I'm not talking about online/live service games. That's an entirely different segment.

Can download delisted Digital only PS3 games that never seen a physical release right now....
Going digital only does not stop "the scene"
 
Trying to decide if I take my PS5 disc version with me or not when I move to the UK and then upgrade the storage on it. Or get a new console there.

I pondered the same thought...sold my disk PS5 in SA for like R9k and bought a brand new one in UK for the same price (£400). So it's a no brainer tbh.

You will also get the new smaller version, so there's that

Are you shipping stuff over when you go? I mean a big reason for me selling it was because we are moving over in bits, and I wasn't able to take it with without a huge hassle. Container is only coming next year

Nope. Not taking anything that won’t fit in a suit case over. Was thinking of just paying for extra luggage and putting the PS5 into a suitcase.

In that case I would honestly just try and sell it, but that is also a pain in the backside as well

Yeah I am not up for trying to get everything sold. Which is why I am giving away literally everything in my house. Except the cars and house. That’s all I am selling
