PS5

It's funny how you spefically took offence to my post.

I was never talking to you, but then you quote me and go on about talking to an actual infant. Wut? Talk about revealing colours.

If you want to feel relevant then please go PM whoever cares to entertain you, as you love to do...
Umm, are you truly saying you excluded me from your general statement? Go ahead and lie if you want.

And as for a pm, are you trying reverse psychology on me and want one? Or just scared of one?

PS - I have very rarely pm'd anyone in any confrontational issue for years. Has someone pm'd you to make this comment? :) :)

Well that is an article by the same author at their own website and is still up so I’m not sure what you want.

Microsoft doesn’t conventionally release it, but this being the year of court battles more information is out there than they wanted to be.

As per your very Twitter thread linked it’s not that the data is bad or wrong, but rather that it’s extrapolated from what they have and compared on different metrics.

Regardless the only point that stands is that revenue <> profit and that console sales when comparing Xbox to PlayStation don’t make sense since they aren’t playing the same game.

I want you, to just admit that you posted something that is factually wrong. Using a chart you did NOT understand. That's all.

I will even ignore your drive-by attempt at an insult, which was really out of fkn nowhere by the way. But now at least I know what to expect from you going forward

People like @prod like to laugh, but it's pretty clear they don't understand basic economics if they find it funny.

I want you to post where the author specifically redacted it, since it’s still there from the very same person on their very own website.

I understood it just fine, and accepted it as a reasonable source. Many others rather with similar statements over the last period so it’s not unfounded.

And you came with a passive aggressive emoji, and I called you out on it, don’t now act like that wasn’t for full intention when you did it.

You also got stuck on the graph and completely ignored the other link I posted.

But unlike you I’ve long since gotten over this little drama and moved on with my life and went to actually play on my PS5 instead of talking about it on the internet.

When willl PlayStation stop sending you emails for FREE purchases.

At the very least batch together instead of sending an email for each and every one.

Show me then, please link to the article with your chart in post 3281

I already did. You even replied to it.

It just goes to show how you are foaming at the mouth so much over this inane **** that you don’t even read or pay any real attention.

You’ve just confirmed there is no point debating with you because you’ve already made up your mind beforehand and won’t even bother reading.

Adult infants indeed @Mike Hoxbig

Asking for a source is being an infant now? It's not in this article as I've already told you: https://www.tweaktown.com/news/92260/big-3-earnings-compared-playstation-vs-xbox-nintendo/index.html

I'm not trying to be funny, I'm asking to just post the tweaktown article that references that specific chart?

Okay I see what you mean now.

I literally pulled it out of there this afternoon, but now going back to it on my phone I also don’t see it there.

I’ll need to go look at the history on my Mac tomorrow.

Kinda ironic that you accuse me of not reading or paying attention, but anyway, I'll drop this now, PS. here's the actual article you are looking for:

Notice how it was published 20 Sept, and updated 9 Oct. and notice the lack of chart. Like I've already freakin said yonks ago

I concede that it does appear that was the source and others ran with it and then it was updated later which had conflated the issue.

There is a lot of accounting speak all over the show about how the methods used by Microsoft differs and so some argue it’s valid while others don’t.

So you win this one.

At the end of the day the only message I want to get across is that revenues and sales are not a good metric, especially when comparing two companies operating radically differently.

It’s the same way Starfield and other Game Pass day one games are measured against retail sales only, when it makes perfectly obvious sense they would be lower due to the fact many people “bought” it on Game Pass.

Regardless things are going to get interesting in the next few years, that’s for damn sure.

Feel free to quote me. But that's me, savage as I might be? Wasn't aware it's a requirement for the Xbox I'm afraid...I probably buy one pack of batteries a year for the TV remote...if that even

Ah no worries man - I was having a bit of fun.

In all honesty, I’ve had so many gadgets and gizmos over the years (I like wireless stuff, always have) that required AA batteries that I long ago invested in rechargeables and a decent charger.

All epeen aside, it really is a pleasure to quickly swap in fresh AA’s on the Xbox controllers as opposed to gnashing my teeth at the kids when they forget to put the PS4 controllers on charge when they’re done playing.

I actually bought the ‘play and charge ‘ Xbox packs as well and abandoned them after a couple of months.

LOL, Game Pass has been increasing in subs year on year. Ponies love to go on about how bad Game Pass is, yet subscribe to the inferior PS+

Also,.go read up on the current and projected cloud gamer numbers, you will be horribly surprised.

Game Pass is great, it just means less than actual review scores, an indication of game quality and enjoyability.

The first link I found for cloud gaming numbers had me interested for a while: https://blog.gitnux.com/cloud-gamin... gamers will engage in cloud gaming worldwide.

Then I read this:
  • By 2024, it is projected that over 2.5 billion gamers will engage in cloud gaming worldwide.
:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
And by 2024 I'll eat my own dick.

Lol. Yet the PS Portal is sold out everywhere even though pretty much everybody at announcement thought it was a bad idea. The cloud situation will improve exponentially in the next years.

The failed xbox one was a great idea at the wrong time as pretty much everything it promised back then is the norm today regardless of which console family you're a part of. That basically killed off Sony's competition at the time and led them to be in the position they are today which is greedy sony reminiscent of the early PS3 days.

If MS actually gets its exclusives situation sorted then it will be able to move more gamepass subs which is the real business they're into. They plan on not having a console generation but just the ability to game whenever, wherever (Insert Shakira meme here). I'm sure your 2043 will come alot quicker than that!

PS Portal is pretty cool, but it doesn't really matter in the scheme of things. It's just a nice little extra income for Sony and a nice little addon for PS owners.

What exclusives situation is MS in? The one where they don't have exclusives that are that good (and by extension have middling metacritic scores)?
Like I said, gamepass is great, and I can't wait for the ABK games to join the list. Then I'll sub again for a while.
However, as long as many people have only one console, MS's hardware platform will compete with Sony's or potential future players'.

And cloud gaming just isn't there yet, and physics being what it is, it won't be the preferred way to play for some time. Add to the fact that you still need hardware to stream to, especially if you want to stream to a big screen, it will remain a niche service for a very long time.

Until MS expands their Azure reach, their cloud gaming platform is going nowhere. It's been how many years and we don't even have a local Xbox node, let alone xCloud. Not everybody lives in the US and EU. This is why hardware is still relevant...

Xbox "Play and Charge" are crap, always were.

Uniross rechargeable AAs FTW!!!
