Very telling that you take what is supposed to be a feelgood story and try to turn it into something toxic.

Rare are good devs, they deserve the success…what exactly is the problem?
 
Series S and Microsoft's parity clause is the reason why the new Dragon Ball Z game can only have splitscreen in the hyperbolic time chamber with more limited destruction. PS4 isn't holding back that game because it's not coming to last gen.

Saw this before with Baldurs Gate 3 where Microsoft was desperate to bring the award winning game to their consoles because they had hardly any good games last year so they let Larian Studios bend their rules to allow splitscreen to be scrapped on the Series S.

I am genuinely surprised by that, I would never expect it to get that much traction on the PS5.

It's a great game but only if you have 2+ friends to play with you otherwise it's real pain and going at it with randoms who don't talk is just pointless.
 
I do wonder what games they are busy porting, if FH5 ever comes…well that game will move units that will make heads spin

This is as dumb as saying "Well people play on PS3s so how can the Series S hold gaming back"

When something is on Series S (Product Z for those scared of saying Series S 3 times or else you're cursed with kak gaming performance) and not on the Switch or confirmed to be Steam Deck Compatible, then obviously we can complain when there is a trend regarding splitscreen modes and enforcing parity with a toaster powered system whose main goal is not handheld play but just being cheap.

Imagine my surprise when I wanted to get Little Kitty, Big City on my PS5 and it's only on Switch, Xbox One, Series S/X and PC.

Another Game Pass title where money changed hands to keep it off Sony systems. Well Microsoft now you don't get Lego Horizon, shame.
And the customers are worse off from these petty wars.

Didn't realise LKBC wasn't on PS. That sucks

Stray eventually came to Xbox, sure LKBC will eventually move across. If it's any consolation, it's a little pricey (played 'free' on Game Pass) so maybe you'll get a cheaper price when it does come to PS

Tried to get hold of Splinter, nobody seems to have his contact details though.

We comment on Series S holding back games THAT DONT RELEASE ON THE SWITCH. Stuff like Dragon Ball Sparking Zero and Baldurs Gate 3.

So what relevance is living in an era where the Switch exists when the games in question are current gen exclusives being held back by the Series S, a current gen console.


But hey, these console things are just an annoyance to me because the kids have to learn the differences between an Xbox and PS controller.
It doesn't affect me personally as I own a RTX4090 PC, PS5, Series X (and the Switch 2 as soon as it drops because no way I'm paying R5k for toaster hardware when R10k next year gets me something special).
