PS5

This stick drift nonsense is driving me mad, both my launch dualsense and my one I bought less than a year ago has drift, one is unusable. Hall effect controllers for ps5 are also annoying expensive compared to alternatives on Xbox. Really tempting me to make the switch.

There's a guy on carb advertising changing the PS5 sticks to hall effects analogs for R500. Not sure how legit, some needs to be a guinea pig and test it out.

I used some Q20 and some compressed air (from a can) on my stick drift controller a few months ago and its still going strong. Still using it daily with no issues. May work for you if it's dirt in the analog rather than the component wear.

I was looking at the nacon Revolution pro 5, R1000 cheaper and seems good enough for what I want to use it for.

I'm using them on PS5. I originally bought them because of the stick layout, which is closer to Xbox, but now I love them so much that I can't wait for the Revolution x Unlimited to come to SA so that I can replace my Xbox controllers as well.

Originally picked up the Pro 5's over at Koodoo for R3500 last year on on Black Friday Sale.

Don't switch to the Switch 2 though, as that also does not have hall effect.

Using 8Bitdo Ultimate with Hall Effect on Switch 2 for when its docked. Still waiting for Hori to make/ship Joycon Pro's for portable play.

Need some advice people. I am turning 50 in a couple of months, and not sure what to put on my birthday list. Then I thought about the PS Portal. I play PUBG, Warzone and CP2077, running on a 800Mbps WiFi connection. Will the portal be worth it for me?

I have the Revolution Pro 5, absolutely legend of a controller. I got it for the non-symmetrical stick layout (made more sense to me), but mostly because of the zero stick drift. Been using it for well over 2 years now, every day, with still zero stick drift

Problem might be audio though, using a Steelseries with Dongle :(

There are already a few hall effect Xbox controllers but they're all wired

I might try this on the one controller I bought Les Ryan a year ago. Thinking I’ll just open it up and clean it out.

Why don’t Sony allow you to switch countries on your PSN profile?

I’m still on the SA catalog and from what I read I basically need a new profile. But as long as I keep the old profile as primary on the console I can keep the games?

Is it worth getting a 2nd hand PS5 slim and can I add generic hardrives to it for extra storage?

Only you will know if price is right

and can I add generic hardrives to it for extra storage?

You can use any USB drive for PS4 games and/or storage

You can use any generic Gen4 NVME for internal/PS5 games, I would just advise checking the size, as you would need one that has a heat-sync that fits. They get very toasty

Just for clarity you can store PS5 games on any external just not play them directly off that drive.

It is however a terrible system that locks you out of the console while you copy data across between drives.

Its about pro's and cons.

PS5: Can't change my profile, but
I can have multiple profiles on a single console eg
I have SA, US accounts on my PS5
My SA account can play games bought and installed from the US account.

The sad part is I lost access to my NZ PS account and can only get it back via Sony NZ, which requires my NZ phone and address.

Xbox: Can change profile, but
Some games that I bought while I had a US Profile can not be installed or even played now that it's an SA Profile. Oddly enough, all my NZ-bought games still work now that I have an SA Profile.
