PS5

LOL. Game developers decide to us aim assist, it has nothing to do with the controller. The Nacon is definitely a precision controller. Play PUBG and you will see, no aim assist
a controller isnt precise, a mouse is.
Not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, or start a debate war, just stating facts.

It might be MORE precise than the average controller, but not precise.

Depends on the game, some games like Elden Ring are so well optimised that even on a PC I use a controller. Playing with a mouse almost feels too precise which makes in not precise, if that makes sense.

For me in a fps game a mouse is superior but I have seen these pros with a controller who would make me look stupid (the non aim assist ones).

I do mostly agree though

Any way to score 25% off PS+ subscription?

I pressed cancel on my sub, and got an option to renew with a 25% discount. My sub expires end of Feb.

Also, state of play will be in Feb and there's a high possibility of a 30% discount on plus when then have the state of play sale. I got my sub last year during that sale.

PlayStation 5 Pro PSSR 2.0 Update Reportedly Coming This Quarter

Sony is preparing a major software update for the PlayStation 5 Pro that aims to unlock hardware potential that has remained largely untapped since the console's November 2024 launch. According to Japanese insider Gust_Fan, the upgrade will hit systems between January and March 2026, introducing PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) 2.0, a revised AI-powered upscaling system. This directly addresses complaints that the console, despite being the most powerful hardware on the market, has failed to show meaningful improvements over the base PlayStation 5 model in utilizing AI upscaling technologies that have been long present on PC systems.

The initial version of PSSR often delivered only marginal visual gains while introducing unwanted artifacts and rendering errors. PSSR 2.0 will implement reconstruction techniques functionally similar to AMD's FSR 4, creating more stable high-resolution output from lower-resolution rendered frames while using the PS5 Pro's GPU more efficiently. Games currently running at 70-80 FPS should see both higher and more consistent frame rates. Some reports indicate frame generation technology may also be added, which would help Sony achieve its 4K 120 FPS target across a wider library of titles.

PS Store Removes Dozens of PS5, PS4 Games for Good Reason

Sony has nuked dozens of PS5 and PS4 games and their developers from the PS Store after player complaints. Sometime over the last week, the company banned a handful of scam developers who imitated popular games and flooded the storefront with clever listings designed to trick players into spending money.

Sony intensifies crackdown on scam PS5 and PS4 games and devs on PS Store

Over on PSNProfiles, players have been compiling a list of all the games and devs that were banished. Unfortunately for those who did end up buying the games and booting them up, some of the games’ trophy lists did not sync with PSN servers, so you might be stuck with those forever if you unlocked a gong or two.

One of the banned developers is Md Adnan Hossain, who was behind some of the most notorious scams, including a very convincing clone of Black Myth: Wukong (pictured above).

Among the listings that were removed are a bunch of hentai and sex games that began to ruffle feathers because of their content.

That means PS5 has now sold in around 92.2 million consoles and remains virtually neck-and-neck with its predecessor

Sony claimed it has enough supply of memory components to cover the next calendar year and said it will manage the situation to minimize the impact on its earnings.

Also, bad day for the rage baiters:

According to the platform holder, Ghost of Yotei exceeded sales of its predecessor during the same period, and “significantly” contributed to its results

If this has any truth to it, then it feels like more of a spec bump than anything else. It'll probably also be priced out of reach of a fair amount of people.

I see many people hanging onto their older consoles. I am one of them. Maybe that'll change.

Highly unlikely, zuby_tech is not really a reliable or credible source for PlayStation news, just disregard this idiot's tweets on anything PS related.

That wasn't a bad SoP

Can't wait to play Saros

A John Wick game . . .

Was pretty good yea, so many cool things announced. Yotei legends and new Castlevania from the Dead Cells devs both look great.

Also picked up the GoW metroidvania, gonna start it once I’m finished with Nioh 3

Dont forget OG 3 GoW remaster !!!!

TBH I'm not much of a GoW fan, I played the 2018 game and Ragnorok and enjoyed it but thats about it.

BTW the 3 OG GoW won't be a remaster, it will be a Remake so even better, Santa Monica doesn't fsck around

The OG 3 does not play like the last 2 (Ragnorok and friend). I enjoyed the later adaptations but prefer the older ones combat.

Hopefully, they just update the FX and keep the combat intact.
