PS5

Problem with stock standard controllers they ware and tear easier now. The carbon film just can’t handle the amount of movements and even pressing in the sticks.

I’d buy Gulikit TMR controller- they are esports sticks / no drift and fantastic.

Gulikit TT max !

For casual players the regular sticks are still just fine. If you're playing every day for multiple hours then probably not.

I have a bunch of regular Dualsense controllers that I cycle through, what annoys me more is that if you don't use a controller for a few months the thumbsticks go all sticky - this only happens with my PS4/PS5 controllers and never happened with my Xbox or Nintendo ones.

I've had about 8 Dualsense controllers over the years

Only issues were one from 2021 that within a year got stick drift that was replaced under warranty and one this year that after 3 years of kids, the thumbstick rubber started to shear off in strips (still functionally perfect, not even any stick drift!) so I replaced it.

The rest are great. Would be nice if the next controller had hall effect sticks even though for those who play a lot more than I do.

Still have OG PS2 and PS3 controllers, all still kicking and No drift. Had to replace the PS3 controller batteries but other than that they still work.

Already went through 2 PS5 controllers all getting stick drift. After the 3rd one started showing signs, I went "f it" and bought Hall sensor 3rd party controllers. This problem is not unique with Sony either, both Nintendo and Xbox have the same issue. even on their Pro series. Its like OEM's dropped the quality on purpose.

Ps3 controllers have hall effects installed then came PS4 and PS5 controllers both with Potentiometers - easy way for Sony to make money
