For some reason the anynet+ function is not picking up my htc5500. If I go into the service menu under sub option it shows anynet off and greyed out. How do I turn on anynet?

Just spoke to Samsung support and according to them the ps50c430 doesn't support anynet+. Can anyone confirm this.

I managed to find the advert for the PS50C430 of Deals direct where I bought the TV and it definitely says that the PS50C430 is anynet+ capable. The thing is I bought the USB CEC module from Pulse eight that allows you to control all your HDMI connected Devices through XBMC and because this tv doesn't support CEC means I just wasted R600. If anyone has had similar issues regarding False/Incorrect advertisement what are my options regarding getting this fixed?

Will I be able to get them to replace the TV with one that is anynet+ capable?

What exact model of PS50C430 do you have, there may be sub-models the do/dont support Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).

ICASA!

I would rather stick my finger in my eye until the tv magically gets the feature before wasting my time with ICASA.:D

I spoke to the manager at deals direct and he is trying to sort it out with Samsung; the sales director at Samsung said something about a firmware update that might be able to fix the problem. Will have to wait and see.

Update:

I have just received my TV back from Samsung and they have updated the internal components of the TV to the PS50C450 specs. I haven't tested it yet will have to wait until this afternoon when I get home.

While the TV was in they also changed some components because I started getting red snow pixilation.
