PS64E800 - Tips and issues

Who did your installation? Very nice... no cables in sight at all.

DIY
Had my electrician chase a trunking in the wall to run the cables.
The power cable is recessed on the wall behind the tv.

Also used the lowest profile bracket available.
I wanted it clean

ok... last question to sway me on whether to buy or not...
Any idea on what the smart evolution kit will cost?

I don't think its available yet. Its planned for 2013 onwards to upgrade the tv hardware like quad core processor etc.

Only problem I'm having is getting the allshare to work. The tv finds my synology nas but it doesn't seem to like its small cousin my galaxy note. So no streaming between devices.
Anyone else with this issue?

The allshare now suddenly works and boy it works great.:D
Any media on my phone now streams to the tv.

Oh man... I'm really struggling to choose between this model and the 60E550.... my brain says the half-price screen is more than enough, but my ego says get the biggest and best!

60E550... :D

Just tell your friends it's the UA55ES8000 "LED" 3D. :D They'll freak out and be totes envious of your "LED". :D

Off course bigger is better! Also the built in camera and wifi and dual core make it worth it.

The point is: if u can afford the bigger TV without having to borrow money or pay for it on your credit card then u go for it!
