PSE 6 Colour Profile

I formatted my PC a few weeks ago and reinstalled Windows 7 64 bit and SP1. Also reinstalled all my software and updated whatever drivers I found lacking.

Now I see my PSE gives me an incorrect colour profile message when I open the program and all the photos have got (surprise, surprise) the incorrect colours :/

Black and white look like sepia and whites look grey - so everything is washed out.

Any idea on how to fix and manage profiles?

PSE should be set to sRGB, I think. The problem must be with the Windows - have you looked at the Color Management tab in Windows? What profiles are there? Did you reinstall the monitor drivers?

Color profiles are evil - created by satan himself!

I dont actually work in PSE, but dont see why it should be too different to the full version of photoshop.

What I think happened is that with your new install the color settings have changed compared to what they were on the old install. So every time you open up a file that was saved out of the previous install it would give you a message.

Go to the Edit drop down menu and click on color settings. Now could you take a screen shot of the settings and post here?
