PSN Download issue

I have an issue downloading to my PS3. I have no issues downloading demo's from the PS Store or downloads that runs in the background. As soon as I try and to update (a downloads that can not run in the background, the time left word just climbs to 800 minutes + for a 20mb file and just eventually fails.. I assume the issue is related to ISP Shaping?.

Same here. I had to wait over 30 minutes to download the YouTube app (22mb)

Had same problems with Youtube on Tuesday night. Was able to do background downloads but normal downloads where slow. Left my PS3 on for over 24 hours to download 3GB on a 2MB line

I am having the same problem with gt5 Updates since end December. it gave the error so many times that the saved gamed data is now corrupted and have to download all the updates 20 files. I am currenlty have 15 files to go and stuck again.
ISP = Telkom capped. I have tried port forwarding as per SCEE FAQ but then again first attempt to set-up port forwarding so I could be doing it wrong.
Any suggestions how to fix?

I updated the PS store last night took some time but eventually finish...
If anyone know of a quick fix please share
