PSN Sign On Erorrs

Hi there

Had My PS3 for a little while now. Have tried a couple of times and given up trying to connect to PSN.

The PS3 is connected wirlelessly to a network. Fixed IP address for the PS3. The network connects via a proxy server to the web. Proxy server normally runs route sentry to split local and international traffic. Separate router sits on the network in bridge mode.

I can connect to the network. That works. Connection to the internet also works on the PS3. Can browse to local and international sites.

Things I have tried so far. SAIX only connection on the proxy server(Route Sentry disabled).

Fiddling around with the default router settings on the PS3 -- what should they be-- the same as the router that sits on the network in bridge mode? That does not seems to make a difference for me. Have tried the IP of the proxy server as well.

Primary DNS setting -- again I am not sure. The router ip? The saix dns ip? The proxy server ip? Secondary DNS?

Other than those settings in there anything else I should be looking at?

The error code I get is 81710102. I have also asked on the PS3Za site, I am now desperate:(

Yeah it seems the PS3 is malfunctioning. I'll need to come over and check it out. Will take a few hours of play testing though.
 
Question is do you know the answer to the problem or will you be guessing like I am:)
