PSN Welcome Back Package details

So from what I understand though, the freebies time out after 30 days???

In other words, from my perception, Sony put their customer details at risk, and then to make up for it, they're looking at waving the big magic carrot in front of the donkey's eyes and enticing those that were not big (paid for) ps+ users with a "sneek peek" (wrapped in a free 'welcome back' package) of what they could be getting... And then "OH!", the 30 day "free" period expires, BUT, Sony has convinced at least some to pay and sign up to ps+.

Because lets face it, as it shows it the comments in the article link, most ps+ users already own those games... so all this free stuff is not really aimed at them, taking into account that they already have the games (were mostly on offer on sign up, etc, etc), they've been a month without a service that they've paid for (so in fact they only getting really getting 30 days free when Sony offers them 60 days), etc, etc.

So I guess it comes down to Sony trying to make some money out of this marketing attempt. Pretty devious, but clever, marketing strategy.

No, I think that there is a cut-off time frame of 30 days once the Welcome Back package goes live, for PSN users who registered before April 20th 2011, to claim it via the PSN.

That is my understanding of it anyway.
