PSP zoning?

I'm obviosly not very familiar with the psp, but a question just came to mind:
Are there all those zoning restrictions with the UMD games and movies like with the ps2? I mean like playing a game from the usa or watever?

I've got the US PSP and it plays games from every region - they all do. They never implemented the zoning feature for games - though its not to say they wont.

Movies are however zoned and so a movie from the US wont play on a SA psp.
