I need a program that can open a .pst file. I want to be able to view the entire mail and its attachments or alternatively I would like if the software can extract the contents of the entire .pst file and make each email a separate file in a folder.

Any suggestions?

You do get PST viewers I believe, to avoid loading it up in Outlook and exporting.

You call that Outlook, you can mount PST, export all the mails as .eml.

Or do you need 3rd party app?
I tried it with outlook 365 but it did not load the file for some reason. Will try again today.

By saying it exports as .eml does that mean each mail will be a separate file which I can then open?

Good Morning, yes, in Outlook click on File, Open & Export and then Open Outlook Data File.
Then browse for PST file, and open. After that it will have it linked in Outlook.

The easiest way to get single files for each email, open a new Folder on the desktop, have Outlook and the folder open side by side, select the mails (control + a for all, or control + select for the mails you want), and then drag selection to open space in folder.

Thanks so much, will give it a go.
