PSU confusion, again...

My only beef with the Vantec is the short 24 and 8 pin power cables... I realized this yesterday when i bought my CM690 :D

They fit "over the top" right?

I find most PSUs' CPU connectors cannot go behind the backplate of the CM690 and out at the top next to the CPU spot. Has to go over. :(

did you have to use extension cables? I'm going to be building a pc soon with the CM690 and the Vantec psu is also on the list

Well if you want to route them behind the tray then you will have to use extensions... Will take a pic later

Ok, I'm beginning to get the picture, but does anyone have any experience with either of the above? The guy at Zaps says he has had lots of good results with the comstar- any suggestions as to what I should buy if I spend more money, still looking to spend minimal but hit me with your best suggestions please

Ha I brought that psu from them once, it went pop! when I plugged it into my bro's pc (P4 OC 3.4ghz + 7950GT AGP) like instantly.

Lucky nothing else went.

Though the other one is working still, powering my stepmom's Athlon XP 2000+

Anyways, get a coolermaster or a Vantec if you wanna go on budget.
