I have this very old MoBo GIGABYTE® VIA VT880 Pro + VT8237R Intel Pentium 4 Socket 775 with 2 x DVD-RW, 3 x HDDs , Tv tuner and ATI Radeon card connected. What will be the ideal PSU (Watts wise) to put in? The existing one is on it's last legs and the fan is no longer working and it probably emits enough heat to fry an egg, the PC has been off since Monday morning after two spontaneous reboots.

So how much watts and any walk-in shops around Joburg to get it?

Thanks

400w should be fine, but higher end radeons might need a bit more.

Which Radeon card? If its just an entry level one i'd say 430/450w will be fine.

You have a P4, which can't take all that much power, even with the extras you're using. I have and AMD X2 5400+ BE, 2 HDDs, Radeon HD4670, Asus M3A-H/HDMI and 9 fans in my PC and I'm running on a 460.

Now I am troubled. One PSU wattage calculator online says I need a 550 Watt whereas another says 440 Watt... I only have a 460 and I am a tad worried

Thanks guys for all your suggestions.
These online power calculators says I'm using around 380W and the existing is only 350W.
So I guess I'll just get a 450W PSU.
