PSU problems.....

Modular is awesome, had a Thermaltake 700W non-modular and i had a whole line of molex connectors not being used :cry:
 
Yea but for the extra cash i could not justify it, as i said cabling not a problems with my coolermaster 932

Yes, but if you're spending that much over the 460watt, then I'd make sure to get the 550 "A" series (PS-V550AE). The one they have is probably/definitely not the "A" series, and therefore isn't 80% efficiency certified, isn't full black, poorer cable sleeving compared to the "A" series, etc.

Oh, the "A" series also has a 5yr warranty compared to the others which have 2yr.

Also, the 550 will push out just about as much as the 600watt, with more amps per 12v rail.
 
Another issue is that i'm getting a HD5970.What PSU must I get and what will be the best screen for the card regarding res. and will my 2.5ghz dual core cause a bottleneck?
 
Your dual core will most definitely cause a bottle neck but you'll still get very frame rates. No game will lag.

As for screen get the Samsung T260. Pinnacle have them for 3grand including.
 
Definitely go quad. Are you gonna be replacing your motherboard?

If you are a Phenom II 965 and black series 790 board will cost 3grand.
